Le Van Tam is a primary school in Lao Cai city and has more than 1300 students and 54 teachers and staff including 5 english teachers. The main english teacher and supervisor of the volunteer is Ms. Hoai. The students are in grades 1-5 and lessons are from 7:30-11:00 and from 2:00-4:00.
my experience in this school
As a volunteer at Le Van Tam primary school I was an assistant to the english teachers. My task was to read text passages, teach pronunciation and vocabulary, as well as correct grammar and help certain students, for example to prepare for an english contest. The teachers at the school were very kind and the students were absolutely lovable so eventhough working there wasn’t very demanding it was still a lot of fun.
